CGC General Meeting – October 2023 – The ‘Lost’ 18th Century Isleños of Havana

A presentation of some Isleño families that were bound for Louisiana in 1779, but because war broke out, they had to wait out the war in Regla and Havana. Many families never made the trip to New Orleans. Many attempted to settle in Pensacola but most left back to Cuba by 1785. To this day, it’s unknown what happened to the fate of these families.
